This past Sunday, my good friend David Wellman preached this powerful message in worship at First Congregational Church in Santa Cruz. David insisted that we Christians must know our tradition deeply and address misunderstandings and distortions (hello, North Carolina voters). He made a wonderfully passionate case for the progressive Christian movement...and how important it is for us to inhabit that movement with joy and delight.
