"What does it take to change your mind?"

Bassam Aramin started "Combatants for Peace."  His work is hard.  His heart is huge.

He's an inspiring man, whose heart has been broken.  And with his broken heart, he chooses a way beyond brokenness and violence.  When we met in 2008, I was moved by his courage and story.  When we met again in 2014, he was wiser, but sadder somehow.  Bassam and his good friend Rami Elhanan spoke of their pain, their weariness, the constant war and conflict.  Both have lost children in that conflict.  Together in the "Parents Circle", they go from group to group, city to city, telling their stories of loss and grief.
