Why HP? Around the world, nonviolent activists are focusing attention on Hewlett Packard and the company's practices in support of occupation in Israel/Palestine, oppressive private prison systems and immigration intimidation in the US. I guess companies like HP have every right to do business as they wish. But we too have every right to boycott practices that profit off the misery of friends, allies and colleagues around the world. This seems, to me, an important and moral campaign, in the spirit of Cesar Chavez and Martin Luther King, Gandhi and Tutu and Mandela.
