Here's what I want to say to the guys flying Confederate flags from their trucks...in Texas, in Florida and here in New Hampshire. If your candidate loses on Tuesday, it may well be your fault. It may well be your glee, your cruelty and your happy racism that dooms this President to failure. Let's face it: every one of these flags--these love songs to slavery--reminds moderate Americans, middle-of-the-road Americans, that his party stands only for bluster, only for bigotry, only for anger and white supremacy. Not their country. Not their values. They may have swallowed hard and given him another term. But your lunacy sealed the deal. If Trump loses Tuesday, your Confederate flags (and the racist ideology they celebration) will be to blame. This election will be a full-fledged, coast-to-coast repudiation of white supremacy and race-baiting Republican politics. We have had enough.
