While Desmond Tutu is alive, we have so much to learn from him, so much to gain from his insight and experience. It strikes me that we in the U.S.--still living with the consequences of slavery and multifaceted racism--have a ton to learn from this great spirit. It strikes me that friends in Israel, Palestine, Iran--all these peoples too could learn so much from these ideas of 'truth and reconciliation.' What else is there? After all. What else is there? Truth and reconciliation.
