Never a Breath You Can Afford to Waste

Into the wilderness of Lent, the darkening clouds of empire, even the valley of the shadow of death...and I find music out here, wild beasts, angels, a chorus of defiant lovers. Praise God for the song that rings clear and easy, for the pilgrims on this hard and loving path. "Lovers" has been a favorite, almost a mantra, for something like forty years. But this acappella group brings it to life in a whole new way, a way that breathes fire and hope into weary dreams. "Don't the hours grow shorter as the days go by / Never get to stop and open your eyes / One day you're waiting for the sky to fall / The next you're dazzled by the beauty of it all!" Be dazzled, friends, out here in the wilderness, at all the border crossings of your many lives. Be dazzled!
