DEMOCRACY: "Is It Still Possible Here?"

In a generous and great country, a country with brave leadership, we would meet a collosal challenge with a spirit of sacrifice and resolve. We would dig deep, we would commit to the long haul, we would see our own futures in the eyes of our neighbors. Instead, Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell have sown seeds of violence, meanness and contempt: contempt for neighbors, contempt for institutions, contempt for democracy itself. "Is this the fast that I choose?" I beg people of faith and conscience to wake up to this madness, to name it for what it is (tyrannical and vicious), and to turn this country around.
