If our churches are seriously interested in dismantling apartheid and bringing a just peace to beleaguered and traumatized peoples, we've got to stand up and be counted. What are the real, costly steps we can take toward this kind of partnership? What kinds of power are consistent with our faith, our vision, our traditions? In my mind, the BDS Movement (and with it, the Apartheid Free Movement) offer hands-on, skin-in-the-game strategies...and lead us more deeply into solidarity with Palestinian and Israeli visionaries.
